As my knowledge of web development has expanded, I have offered to help friends and family by building websites for their small businesses. These are two examples. One is a photography portfolio site. The other a site for a medical practice. For the most part, I build these sites in Wordpress and customize a theme already in existence. Worpress is such a user-friendly CMS that it allows those I develop the site for to easily update content themselves, once I've given them a painless training session. The Wordpress themes allow me to trim the development time and quickly deliver the finished product to impatient friends and family.
