Awarded Florida Atlantic University's Daniel Lieberfarb Scholarship for Outstanding Motion Picture Business Student.

Flash CS4 Foundations

I attended this class to improve my web development skills. The class was conducted by SunTech3, an Adobe Authorized Training Provider.

FPA/FSNE Multimedia Workshop

DECEMBER 2007 / Miami, Florida

This workshop was organized by the Florida Press Association and the Florida Society of Newspaper Editors. I attended three seminars titled "Story Planning for the Web," "Managing Digital Change," and "Blog Writing."

WETA News Producers' Academy

MARCH 2006 / Washington, D.C.

This weeklong academy, hosted by WETA and funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, was an intensive bootcamp designed to give mid-level public affairs producers a chance to hone their skills and to network with other members of the PBS public affairs family. I was one of 15 producers selected to attend the academy in its inaugural year.

National Writers' Workshops

2005, 2004, & 2002 / Fort Lauderdale, Florida

These workshops, sponsored by The South Florida Sun-Sentinel, are designed to help journalists refine their reporting, writing, and editing skills. I've attended numerous seminars at these workshops, learning more about topics like interviewing and storytelling on deadline.

Poynter Institute Seminars

The Poynter Institute is a non-profit school and resource center for journalists. The seminars I attended were titled "Broadcast Writing" and "Newswriting."
